Wood does not tolerate dishonesty. A poorly crafted joint may reveal itself after one year or after ten - but it will reveal itself. That uncompromising honesty became his true education. In 2022, the river was left behind. His children moved to Europe to study - far from war, far from what fear and falsehood can do to people. The Master and Elena followed them, to a place where those raised beside great waters recognize one another without words.
